Madison Mud Run
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
The 2010 Madison Mud Run Events were highly successful. We are bringing the events back in 2011. With new and more exciting obstacles, we aim to please!
Following in the footsteps of many other famous “MUD” events, the 2011 Madison Mud Run events are challenging 4+ mile runs with hills, water crossings, tire obstacles, wall climbs, tunnel crawls, hay bale obstacles, inflatable obstacle courses and the famous “mud pit”. Come for the race and participate in the costume contest.
“Madison’s Dirtiest Race” is the most fun you can have running almost 5 miles. How “tough” is it? It is as tough as you want it to be. The course is designed for everyone. Perfect for recreational runners competing in their first 5 mile race and still challenging enough to the semi-professional athlete. This event has something for all to enjoy.
Theme: The theme for the 2011 Spring Fling Event is "Super Heroes". Costumes are recommended. There will be a costume contest with cash prizes.
Categories: Participate individually or on a team and in one of several special categories. (Age Group, Military, Fire, Police, EMS, Elite, and Greek (Fraternity/Sorority))
****Military and Police/Fire/EMS must wear combat style boots and proper clothing showing that they belong to a Military, Police, Fire or EMS Team to compete in their respective categories****
****Elite category is for preffered start only. Elite participants will be scored in age-group results****
Teams: Teams consist of a minimum of four (4) people with a minimum of one (1) from the opposite sex. Teams will be scored on the fastest four (4) people (One opposite sex member) on the team. Team members ALL do the entire distance. This IS NOT a relay! Teams can have more than four members. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest, largest, and best dressed teams. Please be sure to note the team name while registering on Active.com. You DO NOT need to be on a team to participate.
